Hmmmmmmmm, I seem to have a memory from when I first watched this and I had a question along those lines. I think I discarded it assuming that older people knew better then me and that the door would’ve sunk with the weight of two. Or more plausible, the weight of two would’ve soaked them in the cold water instead of giving her the ability to have part of her body at least out of the frigid water….
